When exceeding client credit limit

In Handy, we know that managing your client's credits is key for your operation to flow properly. This setting will help you avoid unnecessary obstacles when creating presales orders.

🔴 When this setting was off, when creating an order, the system validated the order with the client's available credit (meaning the total assigned credit, minus what was utilized).

Depending on the company's settings, when exceeding this amount, the system could either:

  • Allow the sale
  • Show a warning
  • Block the sale/presale

The problem was that many clients were displayed as blocked. This was usually because they had deliveries with pending payments, which were usually paid before completing the next delivery. This made clients look like they had an overdue balance, but it wasn't really true.

🟢 With this setting on, you can now set up that this credit validation is made considering the total credit assigned to the client, and not the credit available at that specific moment.

This means that:

  • You won't need to make manual adjustments to allow for a presale to be recorded anymore
  • The system will only block a presale if the current order directly exceeds the client's credit total

This new validation process is optional. You decide how you want to set up your workflow, depending on how your company manages your clients' credits.

Go to ⚙️ Settings and select the Orders tab.

Practical example:

  • Client's credit limit: $100
  • Pending balance: $200
  • Presale setting: Block

🔹 With validation off (available credit), the system won't allow you to create the order, as it seems like the credit limit has been surpassed. First, you'll need to register a payment.

🔹 With validation on (total credit), the system will allow you to create the order, as long as the order doesn't surpass the assigned $100 limit.

🔹 In both cases, if you try to create an order with a value greater than $100, it will be blocked.
