# Scan products in deliveries

| This feature to scan barcodes in Handy allows you to scan products when delivering them, so you can register them and make any adjustments quickly and precisely.


## 🚀 Scanning during a delivery

When performing a delivery, you'll see a button called:
**👉 “Scan product codes"**

There, you'll be able to scan the barcodes of the products in the delivery easily and quickly.

## 📱 How is it used?

1. Click on "Scan product codes" to enter the scanner
2. Scan a product's barcode
    * You'll be able to see how many products have been scanned and how many are pending
3. Enter how many units of each product you're delivering
4. Click on "Finish" to save

If you exit the scanner and go back in later:
* It will remember what you've already captured
* You can re-scan a product to edit the units

Once you've scanned all the products in the delivery, it'll look like this:

## 🎁 When using promotions

The scanner adds normal products and promotion products.

For example:
* 10 regular units + 2 promotional units → the scanner will show a total of 12 units

The system allocates the entered quantity using the following logic:
* **12 units entered** → Complete delivery. Both the regular item and the promotional item are fulfilled.
* **11 units entered** → The system always prioritizes the activator (regular item). As a result, 1 promotional unit remains undelivered.
* **9 units entered** → All units are assigned to the activator (regular item) first. In this case, 1 regular unit and 2 promotional units remain undelivered.
