# Presale orders reduce the company's inventory

If you already have a company inventory loaded, you can enable a setting that allows for the orders placed by your users to modify this inventory.

To enable this, go to your company Settings, then click Orders:

Don't forget to click *Update*.

**Suggestions:**
* It's not necessary to enable this setting if you use route sales. 
* This setting is also not necessary if you use a pre-sales distribution module.
* We recommend using this setting if you use pre-sale and don't manage distribution in Handy.
