Creating orders in bulk

In Handy, you can create orders in bulk using an Excel template.


To do this, you'll need to purchase the Web Orders module.


Once you've purchased the module, or if you're still in the module's trial period, go to Orders, click on + Create, then select Create with Excel template.



This will take you to the next screen, where you'll download the Excel template to fill out with your orders' information. Click on Download to get the template.



The template has the following fields:
  • Client: Code identifying the client the order is for (this is a mandatory field).
  • Product: Code of the product being sold (this is a mandatory field).
  • Amount: Quantity of the product being sold (this is a mandatory field).
  • Type: The order type corresponding to that order.
  • Price list: The special price list being used for the order.
  • Price: You can choose specific prices for the products in the order (these prices apply only to this order and won’t overwrite the client’s standard product prices).
  • Date: The date and time when the order was created, in DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss format.
  • Delivery date: The date and time for scheduled delivery, in DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss format.
  • Comments: Any additional comments for the order.
  • Billable: You can specify if the order is billable.
  • Billed: You can specify if the order has already been billed.


For each template you want to import, consider that they have a limit of a maximum of 500 orders and 100 products per order.


When an order is created using a template, it will have the label "Created using template".
