Allowed and default payment types

The settings Allowed payment type and Default payment type apply both for sales orders and for deliveries.

When editing a client's details, you'll be able to define:

  • The payment types allowed for that client
  • The payment type that the system will automatically default to when creating an order or completing a delivery

In the client editing screen, you'll find these choices:

How does it work?

When completing a sale or a delivery, the payment type selection feature will show only the options you've chosen for this client.

Also:

  • If the client has a default payment type specified, it will be selected automatically
  • The user won't be able to choose a payment type that is not allowed for the client

Example

If a client only has Cash as their allowed payment type:

  • When completing a sale or a delivery, the payment type selector will ONLY show cash as an option
  • This payment type will be selected automatically, as it's the only option

This helps maintain consistency in your operation, as well as avoid mistakes when completing orders and deliveries.
